Our Future Home, the POWERplex

PROJECT OVERVIEW

To reach more athletes and have a greater impact on youth sports, BASE Foundation is building the largest indoor/outdoor baseball and softball complex in America. Known as the POWERplex, BASE Foundation will educate more than 20,000 young ball players per year. BASE Foundation delivers one of the most comprehensive curriculum programs in America for bringing sportsmanship, character and mental control to young ballplayers and coaches. The coursework is designed to teach valuable life-lessons including accountability and self-control, while also improving performance and teamwork on the field. Each year thousands of young athletes will engage in BASE Training at the POWERplex.

This campus master design includes multi-sport domes with integrated education, healthcare, retail, hotel, and potential office park. The campus design as illustrated in this document is flexible and will adapt accordingly to the eventual site selected to meet the needs of the community and surrounding region.

The Largest Indoor/Outdoor Sports Complex in America

This campus development shows 250,000sf of climate controlled space inside one massive dome, spanning 750’ x 300’.  In addition, an annual temporary dome (600’ x 275’) can cover two turfed fields outside during the winter months. Also shown in this design is a remarkable 2,500 seat stadium. The sports facilities will be fully integrated into a training facility and nutrition center as well as hotel, a business and medical office park, sports retail, food courts, restaurants, bars and health & wellness food stores and more.

The campus revolves around the one massive indoor baseball/softball/multi-sport dome (250,000sfof climate controlled space). The space can also be converted to hardcourts, soccer, lacrosse, and incredible expo and conference space.

In addition to the indoor complex, the project also features a 2,500 seat stadium with 5 adjacent artificial turfed fields ready to host regional & national little league and softball championships. The stadium will also be home to a National Pro Fastpitch team by 2019 (women’s professional softball franchise).
